The Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel has provided a significant boost to traditional traders by inaugurating the two newly constructed Pauni Pasari complexes near Ambedkar Chowk in Kawardha city. The complex, built at a cost of Rs 53.76 lakh, offers a solid platform and support to traders engaged in traditional businesses. Mr.Baghel also inaugurated the ‘Millet Cafe’ at the premises of the Pauni Pasari Complex.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the newly constructed complex and highlighted the significance of the ‘Pauni Pasari Yojana’.
He mentioned that the scheme aims to provide infrastructure support, such as sheds and platforms, to facilitate traditional businesses and promote their growth. The tradition of Pauni Pasari in Chhattisgarh has been prevalent since ancient times, and the government initiated this scheme to preserve and support it.
Chief Minister Mr.Baghel emphasised the positive impact of the ‘Pauni Pasari Yojana’ on revitalising the ancient traditional businesses in Chhattisgarh. This initiative provides employment opportunities in various local trades such as ironwork, pottery making, laundry services, shoemaking, woodwork, animal fodder production, vegetable cultivation, garment stitching, blanket making, sculpture making, flower trade, worship material sales, bamboo crafts work, hairdressing, disposable plate making, mat weaving, and jewellery and beauty item businesses.
Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Millet Cafe at the Pauni-Pasari complex in Kawardha City. He tasted the cuisine available at the cafe and praised the women’s group operating the cafe for their efforts.
Forest Minister Mr. Mohammad Akbar, Pandariya MLA Mrs. Mamta Chandrakar, Mr. Kanhaiya Agarwal, Mr. Neelkanth Chandravanshi, Chairman of Kawardha Municipality Mr. Rishi Sharma, District Collector Mr. Janmejay Mahobe, S.P. Dr. Abhishek Pallav, and various public representatives were present.
