High Court Justice Mr. Goutam Bhaduri, Executive Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) Bilaspur, has issued necessary instructions to all District Legal Services Authorities to prevent incidents of sexual harassment against women in the workplace.
Member Secretary of the State Legal Services Authority, Mr. Anand Prakash Wariyal, announced the implementation of a new training initiative to combat sexual harassment in the workplace.
Following the Executive Chairman’s instructions, SLSA has developed a comprehensive training module and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). These materials have been disseminated to all District Judges or Chairpersons of District Legal Services Authorities, along with instructions to conduct workshops and awareness programs at district headquarters and tehsil levels.
The program aims to provide vital information on relevant rules to create a safer environment, empowering women employees to work fearlessly and with respect.
Participation is expected from all government, semi-government, and non-government offices, and other stakeholders, in these workshops and awareness programs.Mr. Wariyal informed that the Executive Chairman has instructed the establishment of internal complaint mechanisms in the form of committees in all offices, including government, semi-government, and non-government establishments. These committees will promptly address any complaints about incidents of sexual harassment from employers, employees, and officers.
